The need for education in Nicaragua is overwhelming. 35% of school age children are not in school. There are many reasons for this staggering reality, and we can only address some: access, quality, and cost. For the communities of Tipitapa, San Benito, and Alamikamba, we have dedicated a large amount of time and resources toward education. And it's working.

A growing country like Nicaragua has physical as well as spiritual needs. Harvest Initiative operates many projects in coordination with local churches and civic groups to combat poverty and help communities use their resources more wisely.
Christ-centered life
Our work seeks to balance the preaching of the Gospel and discipleship with ministries that reach out to physical needs. We see that as a reflection of Christ's own ministry as stated in Luke 4:18-19 "to preach good news to the poor…"
